In Progress ContestFirst actual art contest! Woohoo! The theme for the contest is "In Progress", but that doesn't mean unfinished works, it means unfinished scars! How did your character get they're beautiful marrings? Show us in any format! Please follow the group rules and put our icon somewhere in your artist comments so we know it's for the contest! Prizes are: all donated points (none so far) and a full out commission by yours truly. deadline is May 20th!
Let me tell you a story: "Once upon a time, there was a little Deviant named ~
brody-lover who loved to write stories and mkae up strange characters. A lot of these characters had scars in different and unusual places on their bodies. She wanted to find a home for these characters that would be nice and made specifically for them, but alas, she found none. So, after days of searching, asking everyone she knew, and writing to the masses, she gave up. A home didn't exist. She would have to make one! And so she did! Sure, it took her a little while to get the courage up, but once she did it, it wasn't too hard! Then she put those characters in their new home! And they all lived happily ever after!"
Nice, huh? And absolutely true! (You'll find no sarcasm here hahaha)
So....
What is Scarred-Tissue?Good question. Scarred-Tissue is a brand new group revolving around two concepts: scars and good art. Now, of course, art means anything creative, but what does good mean? Well, this group is quality controlled!!!!! Boo, right? Well, actually, no. I am hoping that this group will be a smash hit and I know that as someone who's joined/watches many groups, I hate seeing page after page of stick figures. So, when you submit something, I get to judge it first. This will assure that no obvious traces, unfinished work, incorrect submissions, and lacking work does not spam watchers and members. On the other side, SCARS! Scars can be any kind, from burns, acid, cuts, scrapes, punctured, what have you, and they can be anywhere as long as they physically exist! We don't even have to see them every submission, they can be hidden under clothes and angle and whatnot!
Does it have to be an
original character? No! Just put fanart and the like in the fanart folder if you can!!!!!
but
What do I do to join?Another good question, as we do it somewhat differently than other groups. Here, when you ask to join, you need to send a link to one of you pieces involving scars. This will show me that you've read the journal and it will show me the quality of your work. As you can tell by above, I'm not asking for much here.
well, that's nice but
How do I submit?Just as easy, if not easier! His "Contribute to Gallery". I will then come on, sift through the work and accept what is high enough quality. If it somehow isn't don't worry, I'll explain why it wasn't chosen so that you can work on it and resubmit!
What if the other Deviants are mean to me? Are there any
rules?Of course! They're pretty much the same as in any other group.
No trolling, cyberbullying, stealing, submitting stolen work, whining, no pushing, no spitting, stand up straight, and follow the rules of DA. Mature art goes in the Mature folder.
If someone breaks the rules, tell me about it. We have a three strike policy. If they cant abide by the rules they get kicked out. Fair and square.
What's this I heard about
contests?Yes! We will have contests! I'm not sure what on yet, but they will happen! Things to insure this... 1) Donate to the group please! Winners will get the donated points! 2) Otherwise, prizes will include having your OC or any other request up in the blog so that everyone else will have the opportunity to draw it for you!
Check the Contest blog under the gallery preview to see what's going on!
That's all I can think of putting in here for now. It's after 3am.... SLEEP!
